We’re excited to announce PriceMe’s completely redesigned Android app.
The new app has a modern and fresh look-and-feel and offers powerful shopping comparison features similar to those found on the website including search, filtering, price alerts and product reviews. In addition, the app enables logged in users to set favourites and to manage price alerts.
We launched a first basic version of the Android app a few years ago, but never had the resources and time to upgraded it until now.
The home screen offers browsing by category, quick access to search and recent activity.
Users can quickly access product favourites and price alerts from the overlay by tapping the menu icon (the three lines in the upper left corner).
The catalog screen offers filtering and sorting similar to the website. Easily browse more items in the list by scrolling down.
The product screen contains four tabs. It’s easy to navigate between the different tabs by a horisontal swipe.
The main and default tab is the price list. Note that product variations are indicated by a triangle to the right and can be viewed by tapping the area around the price and go-button. The left hand side of the price lists links to a specialised screen for a particular online store where users can read store reviews etc.
The app doesn’t support tablets yet, and we plan to add support for tablets in the next Android version scheduled for April. Moreover, price alert notifications are currently only sent out by email. We’ll offer push notifications in the next version of the app. Other features that we plan to implement in the future are gallery view, image slider and support for barcode scanning.
You can download the app from Google Play. Please let us know what you think of the app.
