ASOS presses pause after fire

Global online fashion retail giant ASOS has been forced to take a bold move and press pause on their online store after a fire ripped through their only warehouse. The fire in the ASOS warehouse in Barnsley, West Yorkshire (UK) spread over four floors and more than 500 staff were evacuated. Thankfully no-one was hurt during the blaze that is currently being reported as a malicious arson attack.

Customers shopping on the ASOS website were suddenly re-directed to a holding page with a message to all customers from the ASOS customer care team informing them that the website had been paused.

ASOS customers can request a full refund online, however ASOS has assured customers that they expect to be operational again in the next day or so. With ASOS offering free shipping to New Zealand the online fashion retail giant has become a popular destination for fashion clothing for many kiwis.
