We just released v1.2 of the PriceMe iPhone application today. It’s an improved and more user friendly version compared to the previous version.

What’s new in this version?

• Retailer product page has been removed. You can now click through directly to a retailer just like you can on PriceMe. There is no need to first navigate to an intermediate page prior to reaching the retailer’s page.
• Various usability enhancements
• Standardised categories chooser wheel

The next version that we’re planning to release next year will contains maps (retailers with physical stores or online retailers with pick-up) and reviews. As always, please let us know what you think of the app. and how we can improve it.

Mobile shopping has never been easier. PriceMe launched an iPhone shopping application at the beginning of October.

The iPhone application enables you to research product and compare prices from New Zealands leading retailers on your iPhone, iPad or iPod. You’ll find more information regarding the iPhone shopping application here including how to download it from iTunes.

The first version of the iPhone app features the following:

- product search from more than 300 thousand products

- retailer store reviews

- product ratings

- price comparison

More features will be added shortly including expert reviews, maps etc.

PriceMe’s mobile site m.priceme.co.nz has now been optimised for iPhone users.

There used to be some display issues for iPhone users that have now been resolved. The different pages should all render well on your iPhone (home page, catalog, search and product page). Please check it out! We look forward to your feedback.

PriceMe also considers developing an iPhone application that could be downloaded to your phone. We are currently analysing the market need in New Zealand for an iPhone shopping application.

Have you ever been standing in line in a shop waiting to pay for that great product you decided to buy and wondered whether you’re getting a good deal or not? Wonder no more! Quickly do a product/price comparison on your mobile phone and you’ll know directly if you’re getting good value for money or not. No more guessing or running around in multiple shops!

The mobile site offers product search functionality. Browsing of categories is currently not supported. The mobile site has been designed for speed and keeps download costs at a minimum (we’re only providing you with the most important information).

You can use the mobile site from a wide variety of mobile devices. We have tested it on all major brands, and it’s working fine. There might be some rendering issues on some older models though, so please let us know if you encounter a problem and we’ll try to fix it. Other comments are also welcome of course.
